Project Manager - Contract (Self Employed)

Due to success and growth, Atlas Contract Furniture require an experienced Project Manager to work on a project, on site in Southampton, Hampshire.

You will report directly to the Managing Director and will be involved in one project which is planned for at least 3 months.

You will be the sole projects lead ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within the scope and within budget.

The right applicant will have a proven track record and experience in a similar role, confident dealing with clients and holding meetings, good attention to detail, hardworking and driven to push projects through.

The Role

  • Key duties for the role will be to ensure that all key deadlines are achieved; quality of work is of a very high standard and strict control and adherence for all Health and Safety matters.
  • Establish good relationships with clients and all key stakeholders with a view to securing repeat business, whilst managing client expectations.
  • Coordinate internal resources as well as third party suppliers and contractors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Ensure that all elements of the project are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Developing project scopes, program and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
  • Report and escalate to management as needed and manage the relationship with all parties

Must-have

  • Proven track record of successful delivery of projects
  • Use of Microsoft suite of Office programmes; inc. Excel, Word, Outlook and Project
  • The ability to read and accurately interpret programmes, drawings and technical specifications
  • Managing the supply chain, direct employees and consultants
  • Proactively liaising with customers and the supply chain
  • Minimum relevant level 4 qualification (HNC/NVQ4 etc) or time served equivalent
  • Valid driving licence
  • PMP certification or equivalent time served equivalent
  • First Aid at Work certificate
  • Appropriate CSCS card benficial

Licence:

SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) (Desirable)

Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 pa
