New for the end of 2019, Lina Stores King’s Cross Restaurant & Deli opened exactly 75 years since first making a presence in Soho. We are introduced to the full Lina Stores experience from both restaurant and deli in the same premises for the first time.
Restaurant guests can enjoy delicious antipasti straight from the deli, fresh handmade pasta, secondi, and a range of mouth-watering desserts from the traditional dessert display. For stocking up on the likes of best quality Italian ingredients and pantry essentials; the deli is second to none. Watch fresh pasta being made by hand whilst enjoying a made-to-order sandwich, an espresso, or perhaps an after-work apéritif.
This was our first project working with 3 Interiors, a company specialising in world class fit-out and refurbishment solutions. Due to the nature of the design elements and features, it was imperative that the contract seating supplier could undertake bespoke customisation, unique detailing, and offer a made to measure service with immense attention to detail.
Atlas have decades of experience in the production and installation of the highest quality banquette seating and sundry items, with endless innovative designs, options and features available. With our wealth of expertise in bespoke manufacturing, we were able to accommodate both the aesthetic and practical requirements for the client’s seating.
What we did
We developed and supplied a number of unique elements for this fit-out, all to the expected Atlas standard and fully suitable for demanding contract use.
Our bespoke banquette seating was custom-made to form 4 different seating areas; comprised of booth seating complimented by timber plinths, and a combination of elegant straight and curved seating complimented by aluminium detailing across their plinths and cappings.
These were beautifully upholstered in green leathers from Crest (Shelly Jade Green) and ILP (Contempo Collection, 260 Maldive). Both backs and seats of the banquettes were finished with our stylish stitch fluting design for a sophisticated and current appearance. Oak detailing across the outside backs, mouldings and trimmings which were polished to suit in our in-house spray facility tie the look together.
Marble tops with custom timber trimmings sit effortlessly on bespoke metal bases, which were in turn fixed to a sub-floor to discretely conceal the foot and fixings. The choice of materials and finishes expertly selected throughout the project by the design team at Red Deer only add to the luxurious feel of the interior.
Kitchen Bar Stools & Bar Stools
The assortment of bar stools were created from entirely bespoke metal frames; some being fixed to the sub-floor and featuring a swivel mechanism, where others were designed to be free-standing and movable. The exposed metalwork on the frames harmonises seamlessly with the aluminium plinths, table bases and other metallic details throughout the venue. These were box bordered with upholstery covers matching the banquette units.
The client commented "We were introduced to Atlas when working with 3Interiors on this project. From drafting of the construction drawings, right through to installation, particular effort and effective collaboration came from all the teams involved. We are grateful to the whole Atlas team, both office staff and operational team, who have been very comprehensive and collaborative throughout. In our opinion, these are the qualities that we have appreciated the most and the reason why we are already looking at opportunities to work together in the future. In terms of quality the seating is impeccable, the level of detail and the finishes are exactly as expected. Also considering the short timeline on this project, their efforts are particularly appreciated. We are certainly looking forward to working together again in the future." - Gianna Pagliarulo (Project Architect - Red Deer)
We love the finished look of this venue. There’s a synergy between within the palette of subtle greens, whites, metalwork and oak trimmings which were used to create a truly remarkable piece of interior design. The bespoke features used to create the various design elements ensure that their space remains truly unique, and we are delighted to have been a part of such an innovative project.
