Background
We've been working with Swedish interior designer, Zesty Interiors, for years. During this time we've developed a great working relationship where we understand their unique style and are able to work more efficiently to their requirements for seating design. Having consistently provided Zesty with exceptional service in the past, we were asked to get involved in their project at the Niva Bar & Stek in Karlskrona.
Zesty pride themselves on delivering high-quality luxurious interior design and the project for Niva Bar & Stek is no exception. The luxury steakhouse is a destination for locals and tourists alike and mixes the interior’s industrial features with a soft and cosy vibe befitting Swedish chic. It achieves this with lavish colour choices, stylish soft furnishings and comfortable seating.
What we did
Atlas Contract Furniture was tasked with producing the banquette seating in various styles.
To create a casual space in the bar, the bench was designed to replicate a large sofa with half diamond back and scroll arms with the mink fabric mirrored in the bar panelling. This was complemented by the velvet armcahirs with deep button panelling, creating a luxurious space.
We produced multiple wall benches in the restaurant to act as a focal point, with loose seating that complemented its style. The fluted faux leather bench is paired with faux leather chairs and flute-backed armchairs upholstered in velvet. We also produced a half diamond bench for the restaurant that was paired with dark turquoise velvet chairs. The entire restaurant uses this combination of metallic colours with jewel tones to create this warm opulence that brings fine dining to steakhouse eating.
The upholstery was all supplied by the designer, which included faux leathers and velvets.
Result
The space itself looks phenomenal. It perfectly juxtaposes industrial features with luxurious colours and tones to create a lavish space, making it a comfortable and stylish space for Niva's customers to enjoy eating.
